Our mission is to access anywhere, without needing fuel supplies, runways or infrastructure.
The mission started as a project to build an air ambulance that could operate in areas without fuel supplies. As we built electric aircraft, we realized the immediate torque of electric power enabled us to get in the air much faster.
Without the need for fuel or long runways, we started to think of the possibilities of complete freedom.
There are hundreds of brilliant airplane designs. What if they could be given freedom from dependence on fuel and runways?

OUR STORY
Canadian entrepreneur Jay Godsall was facing some challenges trying to build a solar powered hybrid airship for medical missions in Africa. He asked an Air Force veteran who the best person to approach as a partner was. The veteran said, “You should call the king of STOL bush planes, Matt Heintz at Zenair.” Matt invested in Solar Ship Inc. and the company started making the world's first electric hybrid airships. They were able to take-off in 25 metres. After seeing what the instant peak power from the electric propulsion system could do, Matt suggested to Jay that they should partner to launch an electric propulsion company.
Makt was born with the mission to power the electric STOL airplane revolution.
